Privacy Policy
How Careerclev handles visitor information and measurement.
Careerclev publishes salary guides, high-pay rankings, how-to-become pages, comparison pages, and interactive tools built on public labor-market and occupation data. This policy explains what information we collect, how analytics and advertising work, when information may be shared, and how to contact us with privacy questions.
What We Collect
We collect a limited set of information depending on how you use the site. That can include information you send us directly, basic usage and device information, advertising and analytics identifiers, and tool interaction events used to understand which parts of the platform are being used.
- Information you send us directly: emails, support requests, bug reports, feature requests, and any details you include when contacting us by email or linked issue trackers such as GitHub.
- Usage and device information: pages viewed, referral source, browser type, device type, operating system, timestamps, and approximate location inferred from IP-based routing signals.
- Advertising and analytics information: information collected by services such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense, including cookie-based or similar identifiers used for measurement and advertising.
- Tool interaction data: event data that helps us understand how visitors use salary calculators, comparison pages, navigation, recovery flows, and other interactive site elements.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to run, improve, secure, and support the platform. That includes maintaining page templates and data pipelines, measuring traffic and engagement, improving tools and internal linking, responding to support messages, detecting abuse, and serving or measuring ads through third-party partners.
Analytics and Advertising
Careerclev uses third-party analytics and advertising tools, including Google Analytics and Google AdSense. These services may use cookies, browser storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies to understand site usage, measure performance, and serve or evaluate ads. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies and terms.
We may also measure actions such as navigation clicks, tool interactions, recommendation clicks, and ad slot visibility to understand how the site is used and how the product can be improved.
How Tool Inputs Are Handled
Many Careerclev tools are designed to work with static page data and client-side calculation logic. In practice, that means your selections may be processed in the browser rather than stored as an account profile on our servers. We may still collect analytics events about tool usage, but we do not currently provide account-based saved history for visitors.
Retention, International Access, and Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the site, maintain analytics records, respond to support requests, enforce our terms, comply with law, and improve the platform. If you access the site from outside the United States, information may be processed in places where data protection laws differ from those in your jurisdiction.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no website, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or limits on the use of personal information. You may also have rights related to targeted advertising or data sharing under laws such as the CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, or similar frameworks.
To make a privacy request, email [email protected]. Please include enough detail for us to understand the request and respond appropriately.
Third-Party Links and Updates
Careerclev may link to third-party services such as GitHub, Google, or source references. Their own policies control how they handle information once you leave Careerclev. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational updates. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
